Neil Skerratt, August Programs Chairman for the Exchange Club of Waycross, introduced

Julie Stewart and Ivy Kratzer Director/Christian Education of First United Methodist Church, who explained their “Love All My Brothers and Sisters” (L.A.M.B.S.) project which started in 2011 with a weekend backpack of food and clothes. It was in response to Jesus’ request to “Feed My Lambs”. They now have 175 food bags. School counselors choose which children receive the bags and parents sign forms giving the church approval to deliver to children.

L.A.M.B.S. is dependent upon donations and volunteers to carry out the work of the program.

Ages served are pre-school children to middle school. Counselors follow up, as many children move after each month. They coordinate with YMCA’s program of evening warm suppers.
