Volunteer Field Representative
A Volunteer Field Representative (VFR) is a person who has been a District President or higher office in Exchange. These people have a great wealth of knowledge and practical experience and, when requested, work with local clubs or District organizations anywhere in the United States to help in growth and organizational success. In additional to their experience, VFRs receive extensive additional training from the National Exchange Club.
A.M. “Gus” Parker
Augustus M. “Gus” Parker, a member of the Exchange Club of Macon since March 1, 1965 was elected National President-Elect in July 2001. He previously served Exchange as National Treasurer 1997 to 1999 and Regional VIce President (Region 10) 1995 to 1996. Parker is a retired school administrator for the Bibb County Public Schools. Prior to serving his club in every position of leadership, Parker then started a climb through the leadership chairs of the Georgia District. He served as a District Director, 1988-89, Vice President in 1989-90, President-elect in 1990-91 and District President in 1991-92, receiving the Star District Award for three new clubs being built. He received the Outstanding National VFR Award in 2001 and again in 2006. Gus was named the National Exchangite of the year 2007.
W.H. “Bill Bailey
William H. (Bill) Bailey is a retired educator who joined the Hapeville Exchange Club in 2002. After serving as president of his local club Bill served in the following Georgia District Exchange leadership roles: Division Director, Vice-President, President-Elect, and President (2009-2010). He was appointed and trained for his current position as Volunteer Field Representative (VFR). He received the VFR of the Year Award at the National Exchange Club Convention in New Orleans in July 2014.
T. Barney Knighton
Barney Knighton is retired from law enforcement. He has been a member of the Exchange Club of Albany for many years and has served as Treasurer, President-Elect, and President in 2010-2011. On the Georgia District level, he served as a District Director, Vice President, and President in 2015-2016. In his capacity as District Past President, he has worked on Exchangite education and club building.
Rollin Middlebrooks is retired Branch Manager for Associate Financial Services. He has been a member of the Exchange Club of Macon since 1994 and has served that club well as President four times over the years. Rollin was Georgia District President in 2005-2006, a District Director from l999 to 2004, when he has honored as National Distinguished District Director for 2002-2003, and elected to that office again in 2006 to the present. He achieved the high honor of being selected as National Exchangite of the Year in 2006.
