April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Exchange Club of Rome always starts the month off with a ceremony to place pinwheels – one for each case of Child Abuse/Neglect in the previous year. The good news is that number is decreasing in the Rome area. This year, 91 pinwheels were placed at the Dempsey Building. A large number of Exchangites as well as other organizations and private citizens turned out to bring awareness to this problem.
