Event Update For The Exchange Club of Columbus

· Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Exchange Club of Columbus. Inc. has held their Annual Pancake Jamboree every year since 1957.  The location has changed a few times, but rain, sleet, snow nor ice has never cancelled this event.  And then along came COVID-19 and brought the event to a screeching halt two days before March 23, 2020.

To all of our devoted friends and customers who bought tickets and made plans to attend, we thank you.  The Exchange Club along with many others had no idea we would continue to be in a pandemic five months later.  We really thought we would be finished with pancakes and looking forward to October and Foot Long Hot Dogs – well guess again.

To all of our devoted friends and customers who bought Pancake tickets, we ask that you hold on to your tickets until March 2021.  We will honor tickets dated March 23, 2020 and do not plan to print any more tickets with a different date.

We are in a holding pattern for Foot Long Hot Dogs.  However, if and when we get the go-ahead we will be geared up and running to get that event going.

The Exchange Club of Columbus does have one fundraising event on the calendar.  The Golf-4-Kids Tournament is scheduled for September 11, 2020 at Bull Creek Golf Course.  We need Hole Sponsors and Golfers.  We will be working within the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by local, state, and federal guidelines.  For more information contact Jennifer Allen, jenallen@mchsi.com.

We also ask that you keep November 7, 2020 on your calendar.  That is the date for the Veterans Day Parade in Uptown Columbus.  The Exchange Club will be hosting the first annual Field of Honor.  The flags will be lined down Broadway from 10th to 13th during the parade.  This Inspirational posting of the Stars and Stripes will feature flags standing in a solemn formation to honor Heros in our Lives.  This includes Veterans, active duty, First Responders (Police Officers, Sheriffs, Firefighters, EMTs, medical personnel, etc.).  This includes those living and The Exchange Club is selling these flags for $50 .
