Millie Price, STEM instruction coach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in Ware County High School brought the Exchange Club of Waycross up to date on the curriculum recently introduced in the school and nationwide. The idea is to educate students in the four specific disciplines in the STEM program. It is an interdisciplinary and applied approach, which is new to the school. Tech school, colleges and high schools are changing their goals to graduate students who have learned and have the opportunity to improve all parts of our lives. Students are exposed to opportunities to explore STEM – related concepts. Hopefully, the club was told, hey will develop a passion for and will pursue a job in a STEM field.
