The Exchange Club of Valdosta presented the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year designation to Brian Childress. Childress is the Chief of Police of the City of Valdosta and is described as a “cop’s cop”. Under his leadership, the crime in the city is as low as it has ever been and it was noted that he really did not feel he should receive this honor because his force of officers who put their lives on the line daily deserved it better then he did. This presentation is just a part of the extensive Community Service Programs of Service of the National Exchange Club.
