Before…

And After!!!

When the Marine Corps Reserve Detachment left Rome, GA the job of carrying out the legacy of the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation was quickly picked up by the Exchange Club of Rome.  The club utilizes their Coosa Valley Fairgrounds as the staging area for the final sorting and distribution of toys and in just a matter of days their Community Building went from a virtual toy city with things sorted by age and gender to an empty floor on distribution day December 16th.  This year through the hard work of Exchangites and community volunteers, the program served 2,649 kids, from 971 families, with a total of 17,906 items that included toys, books, and stocking stuffers. It all starts anew right after Christmas as shoppers hit the deep discount toy sales for next year’s distribution.
