Michael Goodroe made a truly inspiring presentation to the Exchange Club of Rome recently.
Michael, diagnosed with autism, a low IQ, and severe learning problems, his life opportunities were characterized as limited. Experts insisted that leading an independent life would be impossible…and school was not an option.
Against all these odds, Michael went on to succeed, getting a Bachelors and Master’s degree, a Black Belt in Karate, and a music scholarship to college. Michael now works as a data processor and as a motivational speaker. He has even written a book, “What Autism Gave to Me.”
