Samantha Defranks and Kalan Sieck accepted Time Out Teddys from the Exchange Club of Columbus to be used at Children’s Tree House. Samantha is the Director of the Child Advocacy Program and Kalan is Assistant Director. The center is a one stop shop when a child has experienced any type of abuse. In the past a child had to re-tell their story multiple times to many different individuals. In 1983 a model was created that eliminates the multiple layers and takes away unnecessary stress and embarrassment. The child can now tell their story to one counselor and this counselor takes the information forward to the appropriate individuals. Children’s Tree House is an affiliate of the Exchange Club and are definitely doing their part to help prevent child abuse.
