The Exchange Club of Tifton presented the 2018 A.C.E. Award at a recent meeting. A.C.E. stands for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence. This award recognizes a student who had to overcome many hardships in during their academic career, but will still be graduating.
This year’s winner is Haylee Doggett, a senior at Tift County High School. Haylee told the club about her struggle with a number of medical conditions, including juvenile arthritis, that made attending school very difficult. There were semesters she attended school online. But she worked hard, never giving up, and will be graduating in May.
Haylee plans to attend Southern Regional Technical College for nursing. She received a plaque and check and will be entered into the District competition, representing the Tifton club.
