Mitzi Oxford from Valley Rescue Mission was recently presented a check by Eleanor Harrington, Camp Joy Chair to send six children to camp this summer. Mitzi was very appreciative and said that often this is the only time that those children receive three meals a day. Now in its 40th year of operation, Camp Joy is a 6-week long summer camp for children ages 7 – 11, offering 3 weeks for girls and 3 weeks for boys. Each child can go one week of their choice completely FREE! There is no charge to the families for sending children to Camp Joy. Camp Joy provides a camping experience that encourages Christian growth having a lasting positive impact on the children.
