Bobbie Star and her assistant, Raven, of Micah’s Promise, spoke to the Exchange Club of Columbus about a very troubling problem across the U.S and that is the sexual exploitation of children. If a child under the age of 18 is offered anything in return for sex, this is considered exploitation. These children often become a victim of human trafficking. The victims targeted are homeless, have no one that cares about them and are offered what appears to be a “better life”. An estimated 500 girls are trafficked monthly in Georgia. Micah’s Promise is working to raise the capital funds necessary to build a therapeutic treatment facility for girls aged 12 to 17 suffering from complex trauma due to being victimized in sex trafficking. The land has already been donation along with over $1M. What a blessing Micah’s Promise is to help prevent child abuse.
