The Exchange Club of Blackshear presented the “Book of Golden Deeds award” to Sara Rollison. This award recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talents toward making their communities a better place to live. This is the most prestigious award given to a special person by the Exchange Club and has been ongoing since 1919. In the presentation it was noted, “Sara Rollison was the perfect candidate for this honor as she dedicates so much time giving back to our community out of the goodness of her heart.” She is active in a variety of organizations that reach out to the community and make a difference in the lives of those who live here, including a Pierce County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, Friends of the Library member and advocate, PEO -Philanthropic Education Organization member, Magnolia House volunteer, the Director of the St. Illa Chapter in The National League of Junior Cotillion, a very active member of Grace Episcopal Church and a former recipient of the Leon Dixon, Bright Spot Award.
