Rome Adopts Seniors For Christmas

· Reading Time: 1 minute

Christmas can be a lonely time if you are a senior citizen with no family close to you and the Exchange Club of Rome did something about it. The club members “adopted” 26 local seniors as part of a partnership with the Floyd County Sheriff.  Members shopped from a wish list compiled by the recipients and gifts were delivered by Sheriff Deputies as the elves.  This is just one of the programs Exchange partners with the Sheriff each Christmas as the club’s Toys For Tots program supplies toys for children up to age 12 on a special giving program that supplements the gift for children up to age 15.
