Members of the Exchange Club of Albany presented American Flags to the Lee County Board of Education for display in classrooms. They met with Dr. Trina Muse, Principal of Kinchafoonee Primary School, who took them to Music Room where Mrs. Knight shared with the children the history and importance of the American Flag. Club Members presented a flag to Ms. Allen and her students, while presenting the remainder to Dr. Muse to distribute at Kinchafoonee.

Members took the remaining American Flags to the Lee County Board of Education Central Office and presented to Jennifer Goode who will disperse them to the remaining schools requesting flags.

This is the first year the Exchange Club of Albany has taken on this project but plans to continue the program in the future. Most of the school rooms have American Flags but with the addition of additional classrooms and new schools, as well as replacing damaged Flags, they believe there will be additional opportunities. They will expand this in the coming years to include both public and private schools that have a need for an American Flags their classrooms.

Americanism is one of the major projects for the Exchange Club nationally and is very strong in the Exchange Club of Albany.
